When deciding upon an urn, you will find many choices. You may want something unique as a permanent resting place for your loved one’s remains. This vessel will help embody their identity and be a focal point for your memories.
For so many people, a pet is a very special companion. Urns are also available for these beloved members of your family
The urns I create are one of a kind. I do not use molds. I always have urns on hand should you wish to have one delivered immediately. However, I welcome the opportunity to consult with you and your family in order to craft a personalized piece that brings beauty and dignity to the memory of your loved one. You may choose this opportunity to incorporate elements of your loved one’s life, profession, or passion into our design so that this vessel may be a celebration of their identity.
There are many ways to create a sense of uniqueness in any vessel. I can add carved or painted designs, a finial (ornament on the lid of the urn) made from a beautiful crystal or shell, a small sculpture of a beloved pet, or a niche containing a medallion depicting one of the armed services, a profession, or a special organization.
How long will it take you to create an urn if commissioned?
It takes one to two months to create a custom vessel as there are multiple steps and factors that can affect production. Delivery time can be better discussed at the time of commission.
Can I specify the exact color, shape, and size of a commissioned piece?
All products are handmade and unique. They will vary in size, color, and shape and are subject to shrinkage as the clay dries. Colors seen on a computer may not reflect the exact color of a piece. The firing process can produce differences in color on two pieces that have the same glaze. Of course, we work hard to come as close as possible to your specifications.
May I provide my own finial?
Yes, however, I must have the item to be used as a finial BEFORE I begin working on a piece. That will allow me to create a proper seat, pedestal, or depression so the finial can be properly attached.
Can I cancel my order?
You may cancel your order within a week of signing the purchase order. At this point, the deposit is refundable minus a $100 consultation fee. Once I have begun to create a piece, you may cancel your order, but you will lose your entire deposit.
How much do you require for the deposit?
A deposit of 50% is required.
Is the urn returnable?
Due to the labor involved and the unique nature of each vessel, all sales are final and no exchanges or returns are permitted.
How will my urn be delivered?
All urns will be sent through UPS unless alternate arrangements are made. Packing and shipping charges will be added to the cost of your order. Final payment will be expected before delivery.
